Did you see any of the 24H ‘ring Manta? The want is strong.
Also Audi 50.

I don’t think any of the W124s sold in the US had the more spartan A/C controls of this nature - and it’s a shame because the climate system they did have is prone to failure.

On a 200 TE? Only if it has been installed afterwards.

The Robur truck appears to have a four-cylinder Deutz diesel. I wonder what it had originally? Given that the Barkas had the three-cylinder from a Trabant, I can’t begin to imagine. The Rover, like a lot of Series IIIs, does not have locking hubs on the front axle. It *does* appear to have a late-model fresh air heater.

I though the dog leg was a w124 thing

These are cute, but sadly I don’t have space for eight of them. Or even one, truth be told.

My parents bough one of these when they were studying in France. My dad bough it at night, without driving it. It was orange and the gear lever came off when they were driving to Italy.

It’s a 190E Cosworth thing.

Thats what I wanna hear! strange that they would have a totally different shift pattern, usually manufactures just change the gear ratios, and some other internals.

The 190E Cosworths (190E 2.3-16v & 190E-2.5-16v) were homolgation cars for DTM.
Mercedes wanted the dog-leg gearbox for racing—you don’t really use 1st much in racing—and the dog-leg box puts gears 2-5 in an H-pattern making it easier to shift among the more commonly used gears.
They had to put the same transmission in the road cars to make it legal to race in DTM.

AC? Do you expect this to have AC? It’s got a heater and some fans.

I mistook what I was seeing for a system like the one present in some W123s - A/C, but with no managed electronic control. I assume such a system made it to the W124, though, if models were offered with no A/C whatsoever...

Sorry, I meant Wartburg, not Trabant.

Yea, I’m familiar with the benefits. I wish there was a way to change the pattern on my car..

Ferrero1911 and I saw this Audi 50 a few months ago....totally mint. And it was in the US! That one is tempting...I know they’re rare, but the price still seems high for the condition.
